About Us

The purpose of the Texas Economics Association, as the oldest non-national economics student association at the University of Texas at Austin, is to provide professional, academic, social, and philanthropic opportunities to its members. Through case studies, internship connections, networking, social events, community involvement, and academic lectureship, TEA is committed to the advancement of its members. TEA also function as a link between students and economic faculty, and bring opportunities in economics to the attention of the students. Meetings include corporate speakers, local entrepreneurs, and academic panels. Socials and events in the past have included free pizza night, mini golf with professors, intramural sports, volunteer work, and economic conferences.
